Our research on N. laticaudatus another Molossid species has revealed that they sing like T. brasiliensis but with marked differences. Analogous to T. brasiliensis, N. laticaudatus, produce Chirp and Buzz phrases but very rarely produce Trills.  They do not produce very many phrase combinations (mainly buzz-chirp-buzz and chirp-buzz) however Chirp A and Chirp B syllables vary dramatically between males and preliminary data from playback experiments suggest they may be able to mimic these syllables! Fercho is our main researcher on this project.
